Gobling Due To Work On Full Length Release!
Should have posted this in Gobling's Myspace entry too. But heck, nevermind, will do that afterwards. Especially to Pendi, Hasan, Omar, Firdaus, Leleng, Bob Kulai, Alvin + Serpent, and all the Goblingons out there- Gobling will start work on our full length album next week.
Studio time has been booked. Ain from Batu Giling has confirmed that we will start tweaking the drums to get the best tones tomorrow up to Friday before recording starts next Saturday. Bass will also be recorded there as we absolutely luurve the bottom frequencies captured there. Guitars will be most likely be recorded in Zaihas' home studio- we have detained Alvin's 100W amp for that purpose and Zaihas had just got himself a new 10 channel Behringer mixer- yay! We will start with Mister Calcium first.
Gobling will be producing, and Zaihas will be mixing and mastering the tracks. Once 10 tracks are ready, we'll get Abang Shanazron (he recorded Ella when he was with EMI, he worked with Luncai Emas too at one time- M Nasir anyone?) for final touch up.
Should sound MUCH MUCH better compared to the EP. The sound engineer (yours truly) has been listening to a lot of recordings by Terry Date (Pantera), Warren Ryker (Down, Superjoint Ritual, Cathedral, Crowbar), Ross Robinson (Sepultura, Soulfly, Korn), and Billie Anderson (Electric Wizard, SUNN, Khanate) for mixing guidelines, so expect a very bass-heavy, raw, yet clear mix and production. Who says we cannot do it in Malaysia?
Gobling did it once with the EP- check out our single Two Times Late at http://www.myspace.com/gobling - add us to your friends' lists.
Now we have black teeth grins on our faces.
